Update

No updates due to lots of school work. I know, this is terrible backsliding. I need to do something about this. I plan to make pages on my theological stands about basic Christian things like predestination, etc.

Temptation

I've decided to fast a few days after I get well from my cough. I began to prepare already, trying to reduce my idle thoughts and instead focusing them on God. However, it is consistently clear that whenever I try to do this (I've thought of this before), the devil will always - take note, ALWAYS - find a way to tempt me. Then I think that I'm wrong and say to myself not to do it anymore. THIS IS A BIG PITFALL. Do not think that it is possible to do it on your own. Always ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. It is worthless even if you succeed if you manage to overcome temptation on your own. It will only bloat your pride and you would be giving yourself glory, which is supposed to be given to God. Temptation is very powerful and we should always ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. But when we sin, which is inevitable while we are in this body, we should always confess to God that we have for "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Christian Giving

Text: 2 Corinthians 8:1-7
1And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will. 6So we urged Titus, since he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. 7But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for usa—see that you also excel in this grace of giving. a 7 Some manuscripts in our love for you
