The Lord's glory and dominion over all the earth is proclaimed all throughout.
This is a very controversial psalm, I think, for it seems to support a geocentric universe (v. 1)

Now I've read a bit about it (http://creation.com/galileo-quadricentennial) From the link, I've learned that the word the psalmist used for "moved" in v.1 is the same as the word "established" in v.2, (kôn) and this seems to mean "stable, secure, enduring, not necessarily immobile." Now I don't know about translations or anything, but a question came to mind "why don't modern translators fix the translation?" I'll have to look into that later. Another thing is the phrase "breakers of the sea" What could this mean? Apparently, in English Standard Version, it is replaced by "waves." Now about the real point of the psalm: The Lord is holy, mighty, and unchanging; he is from "all eternity." The seas and things that are in it praise the Lord.
