A psalm. For giving thanks.

Also, a specific type of worship mentioned here is worshiping with gladness. Gladness, from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/glad means various things, one of which is notably willingness and cheerful.
Know that the Lord is God. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/know There are different meanings of know, two of the best fits are to "regard as true beyond doubt" and "discern the character or nature of." The psalmist says that "we are his people," which means Israel. But I think it is also right to say that in the modern days as a Christian, because we are citizens of God's kingdom as well. Again, it is said that praise the Lord for He is good and his love endures forever. This is quite common in this part of the psalms. |
